Traveling and Taxes

My weeks have been jam packed with work! I recently took a new position at work, which has called for quite a bit more travel than my last. (My last position required ZERO travel.) So, I've been trying to wrap my brain around being a business traveler. So far, I'm not doing very well. I just got back from a four day business trip to NJ for which I packed two weeks worth of clothing, checked my bad and refused to rent a car and was forced to have a driving service haul me all over. Can you tell I'm a newbie? I have 6 days to recover before I'm back on my next flight to California. As much fun as I thought jet-setting would be, it's hard to leave home, my husband, puppies and just my normal routines. Not to mention the time zone changes are KILLING ME. For starters, I'm not the biggest fan on flying, so when you add in all the other factors, it doesn't make for the greatest of experiences. I've been secretly Googling how to conquer your fears of flying, but but besides some breathing techniques, it's really only made me realize I'm a control freak, so, not so helpful. :( Any of you guys frequent business travelers? Any advise for little ole me?

In other news, it's TAX TIME!!!! I LOVE tax time. Of course, now I will more than likely jinx myself this year, but tax time means paying off debt, purchasing items I've been drooling over and just money in my pocket!!!!!! Who doesn't like that. And even though my Father instilled in me the good old saying of, Never count your chickens before they hatch," I'm counting them! We're really hoping this year's return will get us as close to half way towards our new hardwood floors. And that is EXCITING. What are you tax return plans, anything good?
